Jeffrey D. Crane
Jeffrey D. Crane has lived construction for his entire life. He has been President of Crane since 1980, having been Project Manager and General Superintendent earlier in his career. Mr. Crane has also been actively involved in Real Estate Development and Property Management. Centered around Affordable Housing, Crane’s efforts have been seen in several communities in Illinois.
Mr. Crane is a Past President of the Builders' Association of Greater Chicago and has served on its Board of Directors, Construction Industry Affairs, Legislative and Marketing Committees. He has served as the head of the Carpenter’s Labor Trade Committee and has been a part of the formal labor negotiations. He also has served on the Board of Directors of the Construction Industry Service Corporation (CISCO), a joint Labor-Management Organization serving the construction industry.
Mr. Crane has also exhibited a strong community involvement, having served on the Board of the Young Men's Jewish Council as Secretary. As one of the founding directors, Mr. Crane helped establish the Center for Enriched Living, a community service center for mentally challenged young adults and has served as its Vice President. Mr. Crane has passionately served as both a Board Member and past President of the Northwestern Gridiron Network.
He has raised $1,000,000 to support Liver Research for Northwestern University Medical School and is on the Executive Committee of the Northwestern Comprehensive Transplant Center, the fund raising arm to support both research related to organ donation and financial assistance and support for families going through the transplant process.
Mr. Crane has developed a highly respected reputation within the building community as a fair and honest leader. Through his relationships with subcontractors, architects and organized labor, Crane's building projects maintain the highest standards of quality.
Rich joined Crane Construction Company LLC in May 2013. Rich comes with an extensive carpentry background with a proven track record of completing difficult projects on schedule and with great efficiency.
